If you own a business, you know that there are a lot of different platforms for marketing in these modern times with so many options.  With websites, social media, online messaging boards, billboards, networking, and so many other options, do you think print marketing is still important?

Well, it is, and here’s why:

Print is a tangible marketing material that you’re giving to prospective clients to hold onto for months—or even years.  Brochures, flyers, posters, publications, clothing, magnets, coasters—whatever you printed up for your marketing campaign—people are keeping them and are able to look back when they think, “WHO was that guy I was talking to months ago at the networking event that cleaned homes?!” (or whatever it is that you do, because I promise people will NOT always remember your name)!

  1. Really Hits Your Target Market

Even though digital marketing has adapted to be able to allow you to target your target market significantly better in the changing times, print marketing allows you to directly target them and reach them in the way that’s best for that target audience.  You can pick the best format (clothing, brochures, etc.) and head over to where they hang out and get some face-to-face time with your prospects and then have something to send them home with in the end.

  1. Perfect Combo with Digital Marketing

“According to PrintIsBig.com, advertisers spent $167 per person on direct mail in 2015, and earned $2,095.”  That’s a huge return, and studies also show that campaigns that combine digital and print drive a higher response rate than just digital by itself.  This might be because digital is constantly coming and going (your posts don’t stay on social media for all to see forever), or it might be because having multiple parts of your campaign allows you to be in front of your prospect in multiple ways and stay in the front of their mind.  Print materials also give you the opportunity to have branded materials to give out on social media and really optimize your social media growth AND get tangible printed materials in people’s hands.

  1. Less of a Trust Barrier

With online marketing, a lot of ads, websites, social media pages, and emails are spam, and people know that going into just about any of it.  That makes them instantly hesitant when they’re looking through your digital marketing, but you don’t have that issue with print marketing.  It’s more trustworthy (because they know a physical person got those materials to wherever it is).

Print marketing materials are always going to be “in-fashion” and crucial for your business growth, even as marketing is constantly changing online.  Print marketing is constantly changing as well, so mix things up, get creative, and make your print materials modern, fun, and unique!  You don’t have to stick with the same-old-same-old just because you’re sticking with a tried and true method of marketing.
